Preceptorships and Clinical Scholars Program

PRECEPTORSHIPS FOR INTENSIVE EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING

Aimed at providing training events for knowledge transfer and facilitating changes in practice, policy, and operations in clinics, programs, and individual healthcare providers.

  • The MAAETC tailors preceptorships to specific disciplines, duration, focus, and intensity to specific needs of individuals, teams, or systems for regional workforce development.

  • Faculty mentors possess extensive experience in treatment and current standards of care, offering ongoing technical assistance (TA) and mentoring tailored to the goals of the learners.

  • The objective of a preceptorship is to enhance the care continuum by improving service delivery, co-management, and clinical decision support for HIV and primary care providers.

  • Tailored preceptorships are available to individual clinicians or healthcare providers, covering topics such as HIV and HCV, substance use, women's health, psychiatry, case management, and patient navigation.

  • These specialized training opportunities are offered through our expert MAAETC training sites at local partners (LPs).
